Your Values Under Pressure: Who Are You When Living Your Values Is Hard?
Our values are easy to name when life feels straightforward. The real test comes when living according to them becomes uncomfortable, inconvenient, or uncertain. This month, I’m exploring what happens when our values are challenged and how we can bring our choices back into alignment with the person we want to be.
Why “How Are You?” Isn’t Enough
We ask “How are you?” all the time, but how often do we actually stop to answer it honestly? This month, we’re going deeper into emotional awareness, learning to name what we feel without immediately trying to fix it, and creating space to understand what we actually need.
Stop Auditioning for a Role You Already Have
Have you been living like you’re constantly trying to earn your place? This month, we’re letting go of performance, choosing authenticity, and stepping into the role that has always been yours.
27 Challenged Me. Taught Me. Changed Me.
Every birthday, I find myself doing the same thing. I replay the year in my head. I think about the biggest accomplishments, the hardest moments, the things I wish had gone differently, and the goals I still haven’t reached. Somehow, I always try to summarize 365 days into one conclusion.
Was it a good year?
Was it a hard year?
Did I accomplish enough?
This year, I realized I was asking the wrong questions.
When I stopped replaying only the highlight reel, I realized the moments that actually shaped me weren’t the biggest ones at all.
What Did Little You Dream Of? Reconnecting With Childhood Dreams and Purpose
Do you remember being five years old and fully believing you were going to be a princess, a superhero, or an astronaut when you grew up? Or maybe at ten, you were absolutely convinced you were going to become a famous athlete, singer, or actor.
Belief Is a Verb: You Become Who You Decide to Be
Most people treat belief like a feeling. Something that arrives when you are ready, confident, or certain. But that’s not how it actually works.
Belief is a behavior. It is a verb.
Belief is expressed through decisions, reinforced through action, and proven over time. You do not become confident and then act. You act, and confidence becomes the byproduct.
The real issue is not that people lack belief. It’s that they misunderstand how it is formed.
Through the Looking Glass: How to Become Your Future Self Before It Happens
What if the life you want isn’t something you wait for, but something you practice?
Most people believe their future self arrives after the success, the confidence, or the breakthrough moment. In reality, it works the other way around. You become her first, and then your life begins to reflect it.
There is a moment in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland where Alice steps through the looking glass into a world that feels unfamiliar, yet revealing. Everything is slightly off, but somehow more honest. It forces her to see differently.
That is what it feels like to imagine your future self with intention. It is not a fantasy, but a shift in perspective. One that allows you to see your life through a more expansive lens, where possibility feels closer and more tangible.
Through the looking glass I learned that nothing external changes until something internal does.
Built To Last: What Construction Taught Me About Growth
In that moment, I decided my life and work were never about how fast I get there. If that’s how I continued to approach it, I was rushing my own structural integrity. If I put myself in situations sacrificing who I have worked to become just to satisfy others, I cracked my own foundation. As a result, I was becoming an external expectation with nothing holding me up during a storm or on shaky ground. It took a long time to realize, but…
2026 Isn’t About Becoming Someone New — It’s About Coming Home to Yourself
Every January, we’re told to reinvent ourselves. New habits. New goals. New versions of who we’re supposed to be. But what if this year isn’t about becoming someone new? What if it’s about returning to yourself—leading with your heart, your values, and the parts of you that were never broken to begin with?
Letting Go of “Should”: What This Year Taught Me About Wanting, Choosing, and Living With Intention
I spent this year surviving, letting fear and expectation guide me. But now, I’m choosing—choosing joy, alignment, and the life I actually want. Here’s how I’m turning intention into action, manifesting dreams with my workbooks, board game, and encouragement cards, and learning that survival isn’t enough anymore.
When Gratitude Feels Heavy: Learning to Be Present When Your Mind Says You Should Be Thankful
November is supposed to be the month of gratitude, but sometimes it feels heavy. In this post, I share how I learned to redefine gratitude as presence, how I create comfort for myself in moments of loneliness, and how the smallest sensory details — a candle, music, or a shared memory — can remind me that being here, fully, is enough.
From Childhood Imagination to Adult Empowerment: Rediscover You
This Halloween, let’s explore the magic beyond costumes and candy. “Unmask Your Light” is a reflective poem that invites you to remove the masks we wear every day and reconnect with your inner child, your creativity, and your true self. Through imagery of play, imagination, and fantasy, it challenges us to consider: What have we concealed? What truths have we hidden? What joy and courage are waiting to be rediscovered? Whether you’re dressing up, playing pretend, or simply embracing the spirit of the season, this poem is a reminder that the light, magic, and playfulness we’ve been seeking have always been inside us. Take off the mask, step into your authenticity, and let your inner light shine bright this Halloween.
React or Respond? How to Find Calm in the Heat of the Moment
In a world that rewards speed, the pause is radical. Choosing to respond instead of react transforms conflict into clarity, pain into wisdom, and struggle into peace. This blog unpacks the practice of the “poetic pause” and why it’s the foundation of emotional resilience.
